Here are three excellent reasons to round up your friends to attend Celebrating Arizona Women:
It’s a delightful official Arizona Centennial production featuring singing, dancing, and storytelling. Your men will enjoy it as much: especially the Can-Can sketch! (And yes, there are men in the cast.) However, the focus is on wonderful women – those who have been missed from Arizona headlines.
Your peers have been working for almost two years to put this theater production together! Scottsdale Community College staff, from President Jan Gehler to many others, are true PARTNERS. With tickets kept at $20 to cover expenses and to benefit SCC scholarships, you can feel rewarded twice! (This energy may not be expended for another 100 years….)
In addition to the ten sketches, women nominated by other women are being featured in the short Pictorial portion of the production. These sixty women are current exemplary career women or outstanding volunteers from around the State who “make/made a difference.” (Think firefighter, rancher, satellite communicator, Grand Marshall from Safford, policewoman, mine planner, USAF servicewoman, attorney, architect, journalist, chaplain, CEOs and business owners, originators of social service agencies, legislators, and the list goes on.)
Please join us! And bring lots of friends.
